TL;DR: LiteSpeed cache is now enabled by default on every WP Pro account. Typical page loads drop by 40%. No action required from you.
What changed
Every WP Pro plan now ships with the LiteSpeed Cache plugin preinstalled and preconfigured with our tuned defaults. Page caching, object caching, browser cache headers, image optimisation, and critical CSS generation are all on.
We benchmarked against a fresh WordPress install running a common theme + WooCommerce. Median server response dropped from 480ms to 138ms. Largest Contentful Paint dropped from 2.4s to 1.4s on a simulated 4G connection.
What you should do
- Nothing, if your site is working.
- If you use a competing cache plugin, disable it.
- If your site uses custom URL rewrites or an unsupported page builder, contact support.
Why we did this
Site speed is the single biggest lever for conversion. It also lowers hosting costs because cached responses skip PHP entirely. Turning on the best defaults for every customer felt like the right thing to do.
